This month, we have been learning all about the Sports Shop. In our role-play corner, we ran our very own sports shop, selling helmets, hurls, jerseys, balls and much more! We also painted our own mini hurls which we will be using for coaching after the mid-term.

Christmas in Senior Infants🎄🎅🏼
We had a great time this month learning all about the Post Office in Aistear, doing Christmas artwork, decorating our door for Christmas, learning about Advent, doing some fun PE lessons and learning how to measure length and width using cubes and lollipop sticks.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas and a happy New Year!
November in Senior Infants ❄️
November’s Aistear theme was The Café and the children had great fun in the role-play corner, taking on roles such as the chef, the waiter/waitress, the customers and the cashier.
We learned all about Winter and did some snowflake art and made our own winter jumpers, hats and mittens.
We learned all about 3D shapes and patterns and made some of our own patterns using cubes.
We had great fun in our PE stations, practicing throwing, kicking, rolling and jumping.
October in Senior Infants 🎃 👻
This month, we’ve been having lots of fun role-playing in ‘The Witches’ Den’. We’ve been making pretend potions, writing spells, working in the potions shop and made some spooky artwork too.
The children looked fantastic dressed up in their Halloween costumes for the last day before mid-term break. We had a great day doing science experiments such as making a potion bubble over with vinegar and baking soda and making a spooky lava lamp. We topped the day off with treats, musical statues and a Halloween movie.
