World Book Day 📚

This year for World Book Day we dressed up as a character from our favourite books, designed book covers, bought a new book using our €1.50 discount coupon and went on an active walk where we had to guess which books the quotes were from.
As Dr. Seuss says “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.

Country projects 🌍

We have just completed our very first projects in 3rd class and we did a super job. Each of us had a country to research. We created a poster with all the information we learned about and presented our project to the rest of the class. It was so interesting to learn about and compare the different countries to Ireland.

Olympic Handball Finals

Well done to the girls and boys u11 and u13 teams who participated in the regional finals in Castletown playing against teams from Wicklow and Carlow. All our four teams have now qualified for the Leinster Finals to be held in March in Gormanstown in Co.Meath, where, they will play against other county representatives from across Leinster. They were presented with their medals at school assembly. Well done and best of luck in the Leinster Finals.
