Christmas is Senior Infants 🎄
We had great fun over the last week in Room 6. We did various Christmas activities every day including Pin the Beard on Santa, Pin the Nose on Rudolf, a table quiz, making virtual hugs, making our own Rudolf, Christmas musical statues and even a visit from Santa himself on Monday!
Wishing you all a happy and healthy Christmas and we will see you in the New Year.
🎄Spreading Christmas Cheer 🎄
All the children of St. Joseph’s designed a stocking, bauble, present or Christmas jumper to display in Gorey Shopping Centre. Be sure to take a look!
A big thank you to the SET team and Alan for organising such a beautiful display.

Science Week in Senior Infants
We did two science experiments this week as part of science week. First one was a skittles experiment, where we dissolved the colouring off the skittles to make a rainbow on the plate. Then we did a floating and sinking experiment where we investigated which classroom items would float and which would sink. The children learned a lot this week and had lots of fun!
Making 3-D Shapes
We have been learning all about 3-D shapes in Maths this week. We learned about cubes, cuboids, cylinders and spheres and have had lots of fun spotting these shapes in our everyday lives. I gave the children a challenge of constructing a cube with their partner using lollipop sticks and playdoh. They found it quite challenging but had great fun working together.
