Volcanic Eruptions in … Ms Rochford’s 2nd!

We conducted volcanic eruption experiments with our handmade volcanoes and formed hypotheses as to why this happens. Then we wrote procedures on how to do this as part of procedural writing. Finally, in another Science lesson, we discovered why and how materials react to cause the eruptions.

2nd Class present Tuiseal Ginideach to 5th

Four boys from 2nd class took up the challenge to present the Tuiseal Ginideach to Mr O’Brien’s 5th class with great success. I think you’ll agree their presentation skills were also excellent. Ar fheabhas ar fad!

Belarus – Ms Rochford’s 2nd

We had a unique opportunity recently to learn all about Belarus, a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, from a native Belarusian.

The children really enjoyed this learning experience. They participated with much enthusiasm, making notes as they went along.
