May 25th – 29th

Hello everyone!

Girls and boys, well done on all the fantastic work you completed at home. Mums and dads, thanks for your ongoing support. Again my email address is mkirwanji@hotmail.com

Below is a daily outline of work for the week. Do not put yourself under pressure to complete everything, do as much as you can each day. Thank you.

Monday:

Phonics – Continue to revise all Jolly Phonics sounds in Sounds Copy

Wordbox 13a – first five words (at end of post)

English reading – Read  book 10  ‘The Spaceship’ ( www.edcolearning.ie )

Jolly Phonics Tricky Words: I, the, he, she, me, be, we, (These words cannot be sounded out, they will have to be learned.)

The children have come across the words ‘I, the, we’ in their readers so they should already know these three tricky words. This week we are also going to focus on ‘he, she, be, me’. Daily practice of these words – look and say each word until they are familiar with them and recognise them on sight. Writing or printing each word separately on paper will help when practising them.
